       Racial Profiling Advisory Board

Advisory Board's

Mission

The Racial Profiling Board’s Mission is to eliminate racial profiling in Wichita.

Our efforts are focused on improving the relationship between law enforcement and the community by:

1. Working with law enforcement to change policies and eliminate racial biases through improved training and education for our community’s police officers.

2. Striving to increase knowledge and awareness in our citizens regarding their constitutional rights and responsibilities to develop better communication, trust and understanding with law enforcement.

3. Encouraging our elected officials to advocate for and pass stronger      legislation that creates both greater      accountability for law enforcement as well as prevents any officer from using their bias to profile  drivers or pedestrians.

MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
